BEG/ INT BALLET "THE MAGIC OF BALLET"

Classes will explore the art form of ballet through technique class, stories, crafts, videos, creative play and dance history. Perfect for BDC students currently in Levels I, II & III. $50 discount for students who take Beg/Int Contemporary Composition for a full-day workshop.
Whitney Mayer began dancing at age three and received classical ballet training from the Greensboro Ballet in NC. She also attended summer intensives with North Carolina School of the Arts, Charlotte City Ballet, and Charlotte Ballet (formerly NC Dance Theatre). While earning her B.S. in Interior Design at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, she continued performing with the Appalachian Dance Ensemble and later studied with Ballet Spartanburg in SC. In the summer of 2012, Whitney and her husband, Matthew, moved to Bainbridge Island. Whitney worked as an interior designer for Furnish Bainbridge before launching her own interior design business, Swan Studio Interiors www.swanstudiointeriors.com She has continued her love of performing with roles in A Chorus Line and The Drowsy Chaperone at Bainbridge Performing Arts. Whitney is incredibly grateful to share her love of ballet with her BDC students.
